Cassandra "Lewis Hamilton" Butler

Even before Cassandra was born Lee and I and the boys used to go go-karting, lots.  But since our little lady has been around it's been a bit harder.  She always comes along though and for the last few years has gone on the put-the-money-in-the-kart-and-press-the-go-pedal karts for 5 minutes or so.
However, now that she's older, she can actually kart with us!
So, last week she took part in the first two of her three "Bambino" karting lessons at Brentwood.

She's definately a natural and she's gaining more confidence each session. At her last one next week, she'll have her licence and then we can all book a session!

WINNER!!

Both Alexander and Nicholas swim for our local swimming club - SOS.  At the end of last year, Nicholas entered their club galas and swum brilliantly (Alex didnt' enter as he was poorly and still off school) and on Friday, we all went along to the presentation whereby he was awarded TWO trophy's for a 1st and 2nd place in certain heats.
Way to go little man, so proud of you!

Shine!

Alexander is my eldest son and I think, just so photogenic.  He's also more than happy to pose for me on occassion, and I managed to capture his amazing smile when we were over in Hockley Woods during Autumn last year.
Studio Challenges have a fabby "texture" challenge, so not only did I use painting, but I had my first ever go at texture paint too!  So that added to the corregated card, rope and cork, I think I've got this challenged covered!

This challenge ends on 14th february, so still plenty of time to enter.

I'm also entering this layout into ARTastic's February "paint" challenge as I don't tend to ever paint my layouts and the brush strokes inspired me.

Oscar

I've got my scrappin' mojo back and am very much enjoying my weekly sessions at my Mum's to just sit and play with bits of paper!

This layout I completed today is of my parents-in-law's cat Oscar, when he was just a wee kitten.  My three kids were just in awe of this little ball of fluff...
I started off with the sketch from Sketch n Scrap below (I got a bit carried away as usual, but I think it still resemables it)...
And then I focused on the challenge theme of "blues" at Lasting Memories..
These challenges have only just gone up, so all month still to enter!
